On My Mind

Today I attended the funeral of a friend and of course started thinking about life. I tell my grandchildren that we should think of life as our book and everything that we do and say is written in our book. We  are always at the keypad  writing page after page. And then I quote a paragraph from one of my favorite poems, really the favorite poem,.  It  goes like this, The  moving finger writes and having writ.....moves on and all of your tears and all of your wit can lure it back to cancel half a line nor all your tears wash out a word of it  ( the gist of it)! In other words, once it done...ITS DONE! Thank God for forgiveness! But, I prefer to think of the pages in our book as opportunities to do good to one another,  to love one another.  To love your neighbor as yourself. To be kind, to show respect, to honor,to be thankful and grateful for God's goodness to us and to pass it on when you can.
This is what is on my mind today.
